Design for Exhibits and Trade Shows

Designing for exhibitions and trade shows requires specialist skills, we have the design expertise and experience to manage both large and small exhibitor installations.

Our recent exhibition design for Tate & Lyle Farm Molasses at the Dairy Event (at the Stoneleigh Park show ground in Kenilworth, Warwickshire) required a way to draw as many visitors to the stand as possible.

To build on Tate & Lyle's household brand recognition we created a life size model cow covered entirely with Tate & Lyle sugar Cubes (over 16,000 individually hand-glued!).

Our project management skills ensured that the very heavy finished cow was safetly transported from our studio and installed onsite within a giant custom made perspex case – creating a highly eye-catching feature which was tied in with a competition to win a number of premium prizes – based on guessing the number of sugar cubes used on the cow.

The result yielded one the the best visitor rates enjoyed at the Dairy Event by Tate & Lyle. The cow now takes pride of place at the Tate & Lyle headquarters in Silvertown.

Other exhibitions W3 have been involved in for Tate & Lyle include the Agriscot event held at the The Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston Edinburgh, and branding Tate & Lyle's office space with celebrational imagery reflecting the companies achievements including their rich heritage and successful products. Our specialism in 3d rendering allows us to accurately visualise how an exhibitor plot may look (with animated walk throughs and in depth plans) way before the production stage.

This technique aided the development of an interactive stand W3 produced for the British Property Federation at the Think exhibition held at the Excel Center. The plot consisted of a city scape custom built with foamex and steel supports which were used to fit a video projector for use on the floorspace enclosed with real turf. The use of cutting edge technology helped communicate important information to visitors in a novel and exciting way. We also used bluetooth technology to beam Adobe Flash animated movies to visitors' mobile phones alerting them of the BPF's stand and its features.
